Hurricane Relief & Veteran's Assistance
For North Carolina Veteran's.

Comrades,

As we move forward with our Hurricane Relief effort it is paramount that we have clear and concise communications.  Please do not use the officer@vfwnc.com mailing list to start conversations back and forth.  Please leave it open for the Command Group to pass information down.  Please communicate your information or ask your questions directly to the Senior and/or Junior Vice Commanders at either their e-mail address or their phones.

Commander Payne has taken preliminary steps to open posts for receiving supplies and donations, obtaining funds locally to immediately assist veterans directly impacted and has coordinated with the National Offices in Kansas City for long term assistance. He will be temporarily relocating out of the path of the storm and continue to communicate with staff and members as he does so.

Senior Vice Commander Craig Armstrong is assisting inn coordinating these efforts from his location near Raliegh  and Junior Vice Commander Victor Letourneaut is assisting coordinating these efforts from his location on the coast.

I will be placing a News Release on the officer mailing list shortly.  Please disseminate it to any and all news organizations in your areas.

Your assistance is appreciated.

In Comradeship,

Russ

As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group. Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.
